Question Two

How effective is the combination of the main product and ancillary tasks?
I have answered this question with a video;

After looking through my video and back at the magazine, poster and trailer I have realised there is also links in lighting and props.

Lighting
The poster and magazine lighting are both very similar. By using natural lighting for both we have continued the right levels throughtout. The two pieces seem quiet bright and they are made to look like a normal mid day time. This means that we can show the audiance verisimilitude and they're are no signs used. No darkness to connote evil and nothing overly bright to connote angelic people.
However the trailer is slightly different as the lighting gradually gets darker. This is to show the audiance that all of the things happen in one day, showing that the soap will be busy and interesting and also showing verisimilitude as going through the day is something extremely normal and something the audiacne can relate to.

Props
As we didn't use many props in any of our pieces they are all very similar, the main props we used were accessories likes scarf's and overalls. However these also come under costume.
We didn't use any props in the magazine or the poster and these relate well. However we did use props in the trailer. These were only small props like a spade for the farmer character Charlie Collins and a cloth and surface cleaner bottle for the pub scene. These are important to give verisimilitude and can be a main convention in soap operas.
